The scrap recycler requires fast, accurate, on-site analysis if the maximum price for the scrap, both incoming and outgoing, is to be achieved. X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis is widely used within the scrap industry to achieve highest efficiency, most consistent product, and best price.
The X-MET5000 is a rugged hand held portable XRF analyser measuring the key elements in a range of metal alloys including Stainless steel, Tool Steels, Low Alloy Steels, Nickel alloys, Titanium alloys, Copper, Cobalt and Aluminium alloys. Operation simply involves placing the X-MET5000 against the alloy, pulling the trigger, and after a few seconds the chemical composition and alloy grade is displayed allowing optimum scrap sorting to be performed.
Light Element measurement without vacuum or helium attachments!
The X-MET5100 with it's Light Element capability enables more accurate and rapid aluminum grade identification. It also provides the scrap recycling industry added confidence to accurately identify and analyze nickel, copper and ferrous materials that may contain large amounts of light elements such as silicon, aluminum and phosphorus.
Both analysers offer, simple, rapid, rugged, on-site analysis with the instruments operated by production staff.
